Contract S32288 is a design-build project involving the installation and upgrade of emergency alarm systems in the NYC subway system, including elevated structures where no system currently exists. The upgrades will improve reliability, availability, and overall capabilities and will serve a critical life safety function by allowing for emergency de energization of traction power on third rail track sections and providing voice communication from the right of way. The project budget is $78,755,000, with an estimated completion date of December 2027.
Novisal has been retained by LK Comstock to provide onsite EHS Services, including Site Safety to enforce the SSHASP, observe safety protocols, provide daily, weekly and monthly reports and incident/accident investigations. Novisal is also conducting daily monitoring/sampling for silica dust exposure during demotion and invasive procedures.
