Novisal was retained by SBI (Siegfried’s Basement), a fabricator of custom, bespoke displays for advertising and events, to conduct an exposure assessment of its various operations at its Secaucus workshop. SBI’s process of display development includes design, modeling, fabrication, finishing and installation.
The specific workshop task involved in the assessment include 3D Printing, woodworking, laser cutting, metal fabrication/welding, and spray finishing/painting. Novisal conducted personal and area sampling to assess exposures to wood, metal and respirable dust, Volatile Organic Compounds, metal fumes (metal oxides) and ozone gas. An Indoor Air Quality Evaluation was also conducted during 3D Printing activities.
Novisal will provide a report on the findings and recommendations.
