Novisal is providing Construction Safety Services to the Joint Venture Design-Build team of Railworks Transit and Halmar International to assure that the Construction and Site Safety requirements of OSHA and the MTA are met on this project.
The Penn Station Access project, valued at nearly $3 billion, will bring direct Metro-North service to Penn Station for the first time, significantly reducing commute times and improving connectivity for New Haven Line and East Bronx residents. The project includes new tracks, stations, and system upgrades, aiming to enhance accessibility and regional transit integration. The contract also encompasses building the four new ADA-accessible stations in the East Bronx, which will greatly improve regional accessibility. Scheduled for completion in 2030, it represents the largest expansion in Metro-North history.
Novisal’s services include safety oversight of prime contractor and subcontractor staff as well as daily training, review and enforcement of the Site-Specific HASP and other EHS controlling documents, development and review of JHAs, Incident and Accident Investigations, attending safety meetings, and recommendation/enforcement of Corrective Actions.
