The Palisades Tunnel Project is part of the Gateway Development Commission’s Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP), which includes 3 major elements to create resiliency, redundancy, and reliability for Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor service and NJ TRANSIT’s commuter rail service between NJ and Penn Station, NY, this project involves the construction of a new two-track Hudson River Tunnel from the Bergen Palisades in NJ to Manhattan. Because of site contamination and naturally occurring asbestos, this project requires community and worker air quality monitoring.
Novisal is supporting our client with the services of a Certified Industrial Hygienist to develop and manage the Air Quality Monitoring Program, providing the plans for managing the asbestos, lead and PCBs as well as the equipment for NY CAMP and NJ PAM Monitoring. Tasks include daily, weekly and monthly reporting, data interpretation, helping with corrective actions for AQ excursions, and data management.
