As part of a larger eAort to modernize the MTA’s network infrastructure and improve connectivity and reliability, the Connection-Oriented-Ethernet (COE) Phase 3C project will upgrade the MTA’s network infrastructure across 386 stations. This phase focuses on procuring, installing, integrating, and testing COE equipment at branch sites, connecting them to branch loops and core sites, and integrating with the existing MTA COE network. The project is being managed by MTA Construction & Development, with a contract amount of $66 million. It is scheduled for completion in 2028.
Novisal is providing Site Safety Services for Five Star Electric, the main electrical contractor, for work being performed throughout Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens. Duties include having Safety Coordinators on site to enforce the Site-Specific HASPs, provide tool box training, observe and report on any safety issues, and represent Five Star at safety meetings as required. Novisal representatives must generate daily, weekly and monthly safety reports which will include incidents / accidents and provide corrective actions.
